What: MBSC and Dr. Michael Roizen on TV
Where: WVIZ TV-25, Cleveland
When: Air Date March 13, 2008
Members of MBSC and the Lakewood Kiwanis combined efforts on March 13 to raise more than $10,000 for WVIZ TV-25. That segment of an on-the-air pledge drive featured a program by anti-aging expert Dr. Michael Roizen of the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Roizen, who makes frequent appearances on Oprah and is author of several very popular books, also spoke in the studio during breaks in the program.
Thanks go to PR chair Jerome Masek for coordinating the event, and to MBSC members Michelle Cameron, the Rev. Dana Cummings, Jane Ehrman, Tom Muzic, Donna Nowak, Lynne Szanyi, and MBSC friends Marilyn Burns and Mark Banas.
This marks the second time in four months that MBSC members have pitched in to help TV-25.

Approximately 20 MBSC members and friends answered phones and took pledges on the air for WVIZ-PBS, TV-25, ideastream.
We had so much fun that we hope to volunteer again in 2008.

Where: WDOK Cleveland Connection, a public affairs program which airs every Sunday morning at 7:00 a.m.

Dr. Tanya Edwards, Board President of MBSC, and Donna Nowak, Founder & Executive Director of the organization, described the
advantages of integrating Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM) with conventional healthcare. Dr. Edwards shared her thoughts regarding
conventional medicine's focus on relief of symptoms, while Donna emphasized the mind-body-spirit connection. The ladies also answered questions
regarding the spiritual component of holistic healthcare. (listen now)
